Vizio lcd tv


Our Vizio LCD died 4 months after the one year warranty expired. We did not buy extended as Consumer Reports said not worth the money.
Vizio will pay for parts to repair but parts are back ordered for over 6 months and likely longer now that Japan is struggling.
Vizio said we can buy a re-furbished tv for $400 that I can find brand new on-line for $450.
This is unacceptable practice. Their is obviously a problem with this model or the mother board would not be back ordered indefinately.
I think some thing else should be offered to make this right. A high priced purchase should not die 4 months after the warranty expires.
