    I purchased a Vizio TV from Target in 1/2014. This TV needed to be fully replaced by 11/2014. I purchased the additional 3 year insurance from Target. I assumed this insurance would be on the new TV which I received on 11/25/2014. However, the TV just died and it is only 26 months old but Target is now telling me that the additional insurance expired 1/2017.   • Vizio Customer Service for repairs HORRIBLE!



    Only had our 50 inch Vizio for 7 months and it quit. Screen went black, made a loud noise, then nothing. Immediately called Vizio. Was transferred to their repair company ITI. Was told it would take 5-10 business days to get it repaired. They would send the repair part to a local TV company they use and they would set up appointment to come out to fix it. 6 days later husband got a call from someone that they received our TV parts on accident.   • Green vertical line down side of screen



    I purchased a E601i-A3E from Walmart December, 2013. A few months ago (right after our 1 year warranty expired)it acquired a vertical green line down the side. We did the hard reset and were able to move the green line over to the edge (thankfully the line was close to the side and not in the middle of the screen).     We purchased the Vizio Model E601i-A3E from our local Walmart in late November 2013, by January 2014 (2 months) the picture had a big white spot in the middle , spent many hours back and forth with Vizio and was sent a replacement tv in late Feb of 2014.     I bought a 60" Vizio smart TV Dec. of 2014 and by march it had a red line down the right side, After multiple attempts I got a hold of a person at Vizio and was told that since it was more than 30 days old they would replace the TV with a refurbished TV.     A Logitech C525 Webcam was given to me for my B/day. I called VIZIO to find out if it would be compatible with my recently purchased Smart HDTV. The agent told me that NO OTHER Webcam is compatible with their item. One has to purchase their brand. I find this to be a deceptive practice by VIZIO.     So, we had the black screen problem... which many people have reported happening to them.     I purchased a Vizio 37" from their website in November. Because we were in the middle of renovations, I did not open the box and set it up until December. It was missing the screws, remote batteries and manual. When they finally sent me the screws to attach the base to the TV, I plugged the item in and it was completely defective.   • Horrible after system update



    I bought the Vizio tablet and it lasted a good 3 months but then came the sytem update and now my wifi does not work! My device is useless. Called customer service not their problem "my warrranty is over and I should have bought the exteneded warranty". guy basically said i should have known their product was not going to work after 3 months.     Did you know.....that when you purchase a new Vizio TV product, specifically a 37 inch flat screen, if you need to send it back, you do not get a new TV unless you spend an add'l $129 or more, you get a replacement. Also if you receive a replacement TV, the 90 day warranty starts when you CALL Vizio to get the information to return the product NOT WHEN you receive the unit....so the 90 day warranty actually is 60 days!!!     I have had a 50" Visio HD TV for about 18 months. I was watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the original with James Mason, when the picture went black.     Our Vizio LCD died 4 months after the one year warranty expired. We did not buy extended as Consumer Reports said not worth the money. Vizio will pay for parts to repair but parts are back ordered for over 6 months and likely longer now that Japan is struggling. Vizio said we can buy a re-furbished tv for $400 that I can find brand new on-line for $450. This is unacceptable practice.     I bought this tv from walmart after reading CNET editor choice review. I paid delivery charges and when i tried to start this out of box new product it did not start.     Vizio customer service is the worse that i have ever dealt with. I bought it from Costco and finally I decided to replace it with a Sony. I wasn't asking for my money back, i just wanted them to fix it. They told me i had to plug a DVD into it, I don't have a DVD, so the customer service told me to go borrow one from a neighbor.     After ~2 years, my 52" Plasma went out with a loud bang. I called Vizio customer support and of course my warrenty expired and was told there was nothing they can do.     After purchasing T.V. discovered picture is only adequate from a straight on position. Cannot view properly from any other angle. T.V. is located in a bedroom of normal size and the volume is terribly inadequate. At times on 100% can finally hear. How do I get my hands on a new mother board. As I have read Vizio mother boards are defective. I paid a $1000 for my 60" it lasted 4 months a typical life span for a Vizio mother board. But now how can I get my hands on a new one with a REAL warranty

I have a 55 inch LCD and Visio was very rude on the phone when I told them the tv should not be breaking down within 24 months. The tv went black with only sound and then eventually the sound went out. They said I need a new pcb board. I ordered the board months ago and still on back order. If your reading this post i would guess you to are experiencing problems. Spread the word cause it will cost them money in the long run.

I purchased a 37 inch TV on 12/31/10. Within four to five months, we had problems. It needed to be serviced two times and then I contacted Vizio and the nightmare began...the story that I rec'd when I phoned Vizio was that if you need to have your NEW Vizio TV sent back for a replacement unit, you will NOT get a new unit unless you pay extra - in my situation, it would have been an add'l $129 according to Vizio employees that I have spoken with. You will get a recertified unit, which could be something that was previously fixed or if a store has too many, they are sent back to Vizio opened, checked, and sent out. Also to my total shock and surprise, warranty on the replacement unit begins when YOU call to request to begin the process NOT once you have received the new or recertified unit. At this writing, I contacted Vizio on 10/4/11 and my recert unit will not be shipped from California for another 2-3 days so it looks as though I may only have a 60 day warranty - not a 90 day warranty. What I have gone through, it doesn't seem as though Vizio is willing to back up their product or what their employees have told me previously, which is a replacement unit comes with a one year warranty. One employee told me that the information I received was inaccurate and that they would talked with the employee but they cannot do anything about it because "if it was done for me, then they would have to do it for everyone else". This employee was very quick to tell me a number of times that I could purchase an extended warranty, again, having the consumer take the brunt of a defective unit. Boy do I feel mislead. The sad part of the story is that Vizio is not willing to help the consumer out. No other options but for me to get a recert, have a 90 day warranty, which would start when I contacted Vizio. I guess because of the statement about not doing for me or anyone else shows that it doesn't matter to Vizio about the customers. I tried to discuss what I would like for the misleading information, such as a one year warranty, as stated to me previously, on the recert unit, to replace my new unit with another new unit, asked if I could get a six month warranty - none of them were even considered. The sad part is that at no time during the sale of this product was I told about replacement, warranty on a replacement, not able to get a new unit for a new unit, or that the 90 day warranty would begin at the time of a call, not when it was received. You find out about part of the warranty steps once the box is opened or when you have a problem that Vizio doesn't want to take care of Well, at this point, I do not have faith in your product, service, information that you staff gives out, or confidence in your company. Buying another Vizio product is not something I will consider again.
